Madurodam located in Den Haag is a museum that contains 338 miniatures, 21 interactive attractions (4 of them indoor). Visiting Madurodam is like seeing almost all of the most important buildings & attractions of the Netherlands in just couple hours. Definitely a place worth visiting!
Madurodam has been opened in 1952. The founder, Mrs. Bep Boon-van der Starp, was looks for a way to collect funds for Dutch Students’ Sanatorium for students with tuberculosis. She came out with the idea of miniature city. It became popular pretty quickly and till this day it’s being improved and rebuilt. New miniatures of iconic buildings join the museum every now and then.
Madurodam is located near the beach in Den Haag. You can easily reach it both by the car and public transportation.
